A translucent, reinforced plastic sheeting manufactured by weaving high-density polyethylene ribbons and coating them with a low-density polyethylene. This special weaving process produces a highly tear-resistant film that allows the ribbons to shift and “bunch up” in response to a tearing force. Canvex is commonly used for applications requiring exceptional tear resistance and minimal weight, including use on construction sites to enclose buildings and cover materials during construction. Other common applications for Canvex include temporary walls, abatement enclosures, equipment covers, silage and cargo covers, carpet and product wrappings, curtains, and insulation membranes. Also used as inexpensive pattern cloth.
Canvex I has the polyethylene coating on one side. Canvex II has the polyethylene coating on both sides. Sold in full rolls only.
