These convenient bobbins are pre-wound with Coats Ultra Dee thread. Ultra Dee is a corded (twisted) thread composed of a durable, resilient, and continuous filament polyester. It provides 20-33% higher strength than standard lubricated sewing threads. Heat set to reduce stretching and shrinkage, Ultra Dee seams have a more uniform appearance. Its bonded finish prevents ply unwinding and reduces fraying at the needle eye. This means better seam quality and less worry over mending and rethreading. The high-tenacity thread is built for tough assembly and challenging conditions.
Common applications for the pre-wound bobbins include leather goods, outdoor goods, seat trims, footwear, luggage, furniture upholstery, and marine applications. Ultra Dee polyester bobbins come in a range of color options, like White. All are left twist (Z twist) threads.
