The Astrup Company, a leading supplier of fabric and hardware materials used in the marine industry, has just added several new products to its marine hardware line.

Offering an alternative to the traditional all-metal directional fasteners, new SnapFast is a non-corrosive directional fastening system, allowing superior performance in saltwater environments. Comprised of three components, the system includes UV stabilized sockets and studs manufactured from heavy-duty polyacetal and a stainless steel pronged cap that self-pierces most industrial fabrics. The system unlocks from one direction only and is easily installed using hand tools.

In a response to customer demand, Astrup has added Ball and Socket Fittings that offer a variety of tube, deck and side mount options. The product’s unique design allows for full rotation of top frames as well as quick and easy fold and removal of Bimini tops. A pin and lanyard system creates secure positioning and quick release, while Delrin inserts ensure smooth movement and a tight rattle-free fit. Made from polished Marine Grade #316 Stainless Steel, the Ball and Socket Boat Top Fittings fit 7/8" and 1" tubes, and are available with set screws.

Astrup’s new lift ring enables effective movement of boat hatches and door frames and mounts flush with the deck. Made from Type 304 Stainless Steel, the lift ring measures 2 1/8" x 2 1/2" and is drilled for a #6 screw.

Specially formulated with a precise pH balance, new Ferrari Clean wash and rinse spray is an effective cleanser that will not compromise the PVC protective top coatings of Ferrari fabrics. Ferrari Clean is available from Astrup in 16.91 oz. bottles.
