The Astrup Company now offers a new level of sun shade with its Solair® Valance Plus system. The retractable awning system is now available with a roll-down drop valance that allows for additional vertical shade and privacy. The system works well in blocking western exposures when the sun is low on the horizon.

The Solair® retractable awning with Valance Plus drop valance enables homeowners to enjoy their outdoor patio even while the sun is at its hottest. The Valance Plus drop valance easily retracts to let the sun back in when desired. Additionally, there are no support braces or posts to set up or block the view. The front of the awning is supported by spring-loaded folding arms.

The Valance Plus system is available in widths from 10 to 20 feet, and includes a cassette and a drop valance. The cassette replaces the traditional front used on standard Solair retractable systems. The design of the cassette accommodates a standard valance, in addition to the drop valance. It is available in white and desert sand, with a maximum projection of 10 feet, two inches. The drop valance has a standard drop of four feet, and is made with your choice of Sunbrella®, Dickson® or Ferrari Soltis® 86 fabric available in a wide variety of colors and patterns.
