The Astrup Company now offers a revolutionary alternative to traditional metal fastening systems. The company has added the PlastGrommet® line of plastic eyelets, grommets and washers from DOT Fasteners to its product offerings. PlastGrommets are used in a variety of applications such as signs, banners, tarpaulins, awnings, covers, curtains and aprons.

Perfect for outdoor use, the PlastGrommet line ensures fastening strength in the harshest environments. Because PlastGrommet eyelets, grommets and washers are molded from high impact polycarbonate resins, they are impervious to rust and will not tarnish or fade. They are also UV protected. Additionally, PlastGrommet eyelets do not conduct electricity or heat and can be used in temperatures from -30°C to + 100°C.

PlastGrommet fasteners work well where weight is a major consideration and are ideal for use where metal eyelets are undesirable or not permitted. The products are available in white or black and offer a sleek appearance with a low silhouette design and clean lines. PlastGrommet products are also recyclable.

Astrup also introduced a new line of dies for setting PlastGrommet fasteners. These upper and lower dies make installation easy and precise.
