New products give customers greater options

Tri Vantage has expanded its line of high quality Solair® Lateral Arm Retractable Awnings to include a full range of awning products to suit any budget. The new products provide Tri Vantage Sun Control Professionals, those selling awnings and other shade products directly to consumers, greater reach with products at a range of price points. The full line of Solair Retractable Awnings now includes the Solair® Pro, Solair® Select and Solair® Comfort.

"We are now offering two new awning products that provide extraordinary value for the price, and provide our Sun Control Professionals the opportunity to reach all levels of the marketplace," said Dan Fouratt, Market Director, Sun Control Products.

Sun Control Professionals are now able to offer customers a three-tiered selection of products to help them get the awning they desire at a price they can afford. Customers can choose from the Solair Comfort, an entry-level, manually-powered retractable awning with more limited options, to the Solair Select, a higher quality, mid-range motorized product with a greater range of abilities, to the high end Solair Pro, a custom retractable awning, built to meet individual homeowner's specifications from a vast range of styles, colors and product options.

Solair Retractable Awnings enable homeowners to extend their outdoor living space as well as control cooling costs and protect furnishings from UV exposure. Unlike stationary awnings, retractable awnings offer the flexibility of controlling sun and shade when desired as it extends or retracts.

With a reputation for high quality, Solair Retractable Awnings are manufactured with the finest materials and components for minimum maintenance and years of reliable use. They also carry the internationally recognized TUV Certification, which signifies quality, durability and workmanship. All motorized Solair Retractable Awnings are offered with the superior quality and performance of Somfy® motors.

Solair Pro

Tri Vantage's premier product, the Solair Pro, is a custom built product, designed according to each homeowner's specifications. Customers can select from dozens of options to build the awning that works for them. From fabric style to motor and sensor options, this is a truly custom product. Now referred to as Solair Pro, it is the retractable awning product Tri Vantage has carried for several years.

With hundreds of fabric patterns and style options to choose from, customers are sure to find the right fit for their home's exterior. Whether they're looking for striking primary or cool neutral colors, stripes or solids, Tri Vantage provides a vast array of fabric choices from popular brand names such as Sunbrella and Dickson. The Solair Pro is custom designed to fit widths from eight to 40 feet and has seven folding arm projection length options from four-feet-two-inches to 12-feet-six-inches. Custom arm sizes and a narrow width series are available.

Engineered to be strong, yet flexible enough to withstand the stress of wind gusts, the Tri Vantage Solair Pro awning has a triple-angled forged middle hinge that allows each arm to flex independently. Solair Pro models can also be programmed with Somfy sensor controls to extend or retract according to wind conditions or the sun's intensity with a Somfy® Eolis or Sunis 3D WireFree™ RTS Sensor. The pitch of the awning is adjustable from five to 45 degrees offering maximum shade control.

All critical parts of the Solair Pro such as the upper arm attachment and hinges are made with forged aluminum to offer superior strength and durability. Additionally, aluminum frame components are electrostatic powder coated to provide a corrosion-resistant, high quality finish. The awning's stainless steel fasteners and cables also provide a corrosion-resistant operation and long life. The Solair Pro comes protected with a 10-year warranty on its frame. There is a 10-year limited warranty on Sunbrella fabrics and a five-year limited warranty on most standard fabrics. There is a five-year warranty on Somfy Motors.

Solair Select

The Solair Select is a fully motorized model that offers a great value to customers with the inclusion of a semi-cassette hood to protect the awning when retracted. While adding appeal to the home's exterior when extended, the awning is tastefully unobtrusive when in the retracted position. The Solair Select is wrapped by a protective hood when retracted, shielding the awning from all weather elements and eliminating any need for it to be removed, regardless of season.

The Solair Select model is standard with a Somfy® RTS motor with hand-held remote control, giving customers the ability to operate the awning with the touch of a button from up to 65 feet away. The awning also has a Somfy® Eolis 3D WireFree™ RTS Wind Sensor, programmed to extend or retract according to wind conditions. The awning is built with a quality die cast framing system and comes in three standard widths: 12 feet, one inch; 15 feet, eight inches and 19 feet, five inches. Its shade projects out to nine feet, 10 inches and comes with an adjustable pitch on each arm for maximum shade control. Die cast retractable arms are controlled by a stainless steel double cable for corrosion resistance and long life. To reduce strain on the awning during a wind gust, Solair Select has a front bar dual action feature that increases flexibility and allows the arms and front bar to move independently, reducing tension on the awning and wall mounting brackets.

The Solair Select comes with an electrostatic powder coated aluminum white frame. Homeowners can Select from three high quality Sunbrella® fabric choices: forest green, black and heather beige. The Solair Select comes with a five-year limited warranty on Solair Select framework. There is a 10-year limited warranty on Sunbrella fabrics and a five-year limited warranty on most standard fabrics. The awning's Somfy motor comes with a five-year warranty.

Solair Comfort

To provide Sun Control Professionals and their customers with an entry-level product and an even more economical choice, Tri Vantage has added the Solair Comfort model to the line of retractable awnings. The Solair Comfort provides a quality retractable awning design operated by manual hand crank with a seven to one gear ratio for easy handling. The awning comes in three standard widths: 12 feet, one inch; 15 feet, eight inches and 19 feet, five inches. Its shade projects to nine feet, 10 inches.

With durable, die-cast arm construction, Solair Comfort also features an encapsulated, galvanized double cable as well as a front bar with the dual action feature that alleviates wind strain. Custom Fabric Option

Awning fabricators will have the option to purchase both Solair Comfort and Solair Select awnings as bare frame, allowing them to apply a custom fabric to the awning. This option gives fabricators even more flexibility to help homeowners create the awning best for them at an additional cost.
