Welcoming visitors to the Buffalo Raceway in Buffalo, New York, this pyramid-shaped, striped awning won an Award of Excellence at the International Achievement Awards hosted by IFAI. With fabric supplied by Tri Vantage, the intent of fabricator Kohler Awning, Inc. was to create the look of a tension structure while retaining the look of a traditional commercial awning. It both protects patrons from the elements and enhances the appearance of the entryway. The support frame is welded in three separate pieces from steel tubing and the cover is made from solid red Précontraint® 502 Ferrari Fabric panels sized to fit and blend with a spiral stripe pattern in yellow.

Patio Canopy
This fabric structure adds something special to this luxury residence in Coral Gables, Florida. Using Ferrari Précontraint® 502 Fabric supplied by Tri Vantage, Miami Awning Co. Inc. and Thomas Awnings fabricated this canopy to match the extravagance of this outdoor living space. All elements were custom-made. A mesh ceiling conceals the framework that includes a cupola that rises 1.5 feet to vent the canopy.

Resort Bar Canopy
Proving canvas can be a cost-effective, durable, innovative design element, Smith/Barnes Architecture of Tampa, Florida designed this "flying saucer" shaped pool bar canopy to provide sun and partial rain protection for social gatherings. Sunmaster of Naples served as fabricator on the project using Weblon Vanguard®, a vinyl polyester fabric supplied by Tri Vantage. The canopy adds an intriguing and durable architectural element to the Regent Condominiums, an upscale residential property in Naples, Florida.

Designed in an Art Moderne style to capture the essence of the five-star Ritz-Carlton Dilido Hotel on Miami Beach, this expansive shade structure allows guests to enjoy a panoramic view of the pool and Atlantic Ocean while seated at the hotel's casually elegant restaurant. With Weblon® Coastline Plus fabric supplied by Tri Vantage, this outstanding display of craftsmanship by Miami Awning Co. Inc. won an Outstanding Achievement Award from IFAI at its International Achievement Awards. The canopy is 106 feet long and features three different radii to create a sweeping wave effect. The framework and material was designed to meet the stringent coastline codes for strength and safety as well as the high standards of the Ritz-Carlton.

The Sunbrella® Graphics System (available from Glen Raven®, Inc.) is an innovative process for applying graphics to Sunbrella acrylic fabrics. It eliminates the guesswork from the sign-making process, assuring high-quality, consistent results. With 3M™ Scotchcal™ ElectroCut™ graphic film and a special heat and vacuum unit, designs bond securely to our fabric, looking crisp and clean for years.
