Clear, elastic Tear-Aid Roll Patches contain a high-performance adhesive preapplied to a rugged backing that allows a tear to recover under pressure. No messy liquid adhesives are needed to apply. The repair process requires simply peeling away the protective backing and applying it to the torn surface.
Tear-Aid Roll Patches offer excellent durability against puncture, moisture, saltwater, sunlight and temperature. Convenient 30-foot rolls in versatile widths of 3 inches or 6 inches allow patches to be custom-cut and overlapped for unlimited size and unlimited repair applications. The durability and size configurations of Tear-Aid Roll Patches make them ideal for the repair of boat tops, covers and seats, canvas and vinyl tents and tarpaulins, awnings, banners, and umbrellas.
Tear-Aid Roll Patches are available in two styles. Type A is designed for the repair of canvas, nylon, rubber and plastic. Type A should not be used on vinyl or vinyl-coated products, as the inherent oils in vinyl will cause the adhesive in Type A to fail prematurely. Type B has been designed specifically for the repair of vinyl or vinyl-coated items only, as it contains special adhesives to resist the oils in vinyl that would otherwise cause premature failure.
