Cooley-Brite® Back-In-Black

The first of its kind, Back-in-Black is a selective, light-blocking flexible sign substrate that provides a cost-effective design option to add punch to new and existing backlit signage applications.

Cooley-Brite® Back-In-Black enables one sign to have two different looks - one for the daytime and one for night. Manufac-tured with a white face and black back, it is designed to be eradicated from the back (black) side. Pressure-sensitive vinyl matching the design of the eradica-tion can then be applied to the face. During the day, the completed sign will show the pressure-sensitive vinyl against the white face. When the sign is backlit at night, the black backing prevents the light source from illuminating the full white face and lights only the area where eradication has taken place.

Cooley-Brite® Back-In-Black can be used to add a "neon" look to existing sign layouts as well as to reduce the total illuminated sign area for backlit code restricted areas.
