Formulated for maximum UV resistance, Coats Polymatic thread is much less prone to harm from the sun. Composed of bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread features increased lubrication for protection while sewing.
Since monofilament threads are stronger than twisted ones, a finer thread size can be used if required. The single ply is less prone to raveling and knotting while sewing. Polymatic can be used on either side of a double-needle machine and works well for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile decreases the thread's exposure to surface abrasion. For easy cleaning, it is unaffected by bleach.
Recommended applications include sports equipment, filtration, marine and outdoor products, quilting, embroidery, light boat tops, and light sails.
