These bobbins are conveniently pre-wound with Coats Polymatic thread. Formulated for superior UV defense, Polymatic is much less susceptible to sun damage. Made with bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread has increased lubrication to protect the thread while sewing.
Monofilament threads are stronger than twisted ones, so a thinner thread size may be used if required. The single ply is less prone to ravel and knot during sewing. Polymatic may be used on either side of a double-needle machine and is great for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile limits the thread's exposure to surface abrasion. Since the thread is bleach cleanable, maintenance is easy.
Suggested applications for the pre-wound bobbins include marine and outdoor products, light sails, light boat tops, filtration, sports equipment, quilting, and embroidery. Shown here in Grey.
