These bobbins are conveniently pre-wound with Coats Polymatic thread. Coated for superior UV defense, Polymatic is much less receptive to sun damage. Made with bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread features increased lubrication to protect the thread during sewing.
Monofilament threads are stronger than twisted ones, so a finer thread size can be used if required. The single ply is less prone to knot and ravel during the sewing process. Polymatic may be used on both sides of a double-needle machine and works well for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile limits the thread's exposure to surface abrasion. Since the thread is bleach cleanable, maintenance is easy.
Suggested uses for the pre-wound bobbins include light boat tops, light sails, filtration, marine and outdoor products, embroidery, quilting, and sports equipment. Shown here in Black.
