For effective reduction in seam leakage, incorporate No. 463 Seam Tape into your next custom awning project. The seam tape works much like other bonding tapes. Just apply to the edge of the fabric, peel away the paper backing, and join the two pieces of fabric prior to sewing. No. 463 Seam Tape supplies an added advantage of leakage protection. During the sewing process, the adhesive transfer tape is pulled into the needle holes to seal them. This makes the fabric tape ideal for awnings, shade, and coastal regions that experience heavy rain or moisture. It is ideal for use on vinyl laminates such as Weblon® awning fabric. The seam sealing tape is available in several sizes below to fit the most common dimensions.
