Description

HTR Style GORE TENARA Sewing Thread is heavyweight and lubricated, making it ideal for high-speed sewing. It is so durable, it will outlast the fabric it's sewn into. Equipped with a limited lifetime warranty, the thread is impervious to the sun's rays. The thread is made of ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) for tensile, versatile, and durable performance. UV radiation will not weaken or degrade it, meaning it preserves its strength and color indefinitely. Chemical resistant and unaffected by fabric cleaning solutions, it will not rot, stain, or mildew. And because it's designed to last outdoors, dirt wipes right off.

HTR Style heavy sewing thread includes a special 3-ply twisted bonded construction that offers several advantages:

  • An improved circular cross-section that provides a smoother, more uniform appearance
    • An increased twist level to reduce breaks
  • Excellent sewability
  • Softer construction


Because of the new design, the thread is smoother on the tube, allowing up to 15% more seam length for the same tube price as the former HTR-style thread. For standard weights, see TR Style. For unlubricated thread, see Original Style.

GORE TENARA HTR Style in Black provides a color-rich seam to any outdoor fabric. These 1-pound spools allow longer runs without needing to change spools. Applications include awnings, boat covers, shade covers, upholstery, pool covers, tarps, and other industrial or marine projects. Use GORE TENARA Sewing Thread for seams that last.
