Description

The Carbiepoles 316 stainless steel separating mounting base is used for installing 2" adjustable carbon fiber shade poles. The mounting base is attached to the deck and the top pole unit slides in and out, locking in with a secure button that is manually released to slide it out again. The base plate is correctly installed when you hear the click. Use for boats that are 40-60 feet or without rod holders.

Product Notes:

When installing, be careful not to overtighten the clamp.
Using the pad eye on the top of the pole, you can install a strap and attach it to a cleat on the boat. This creates equal tension on both sides of the pole, so the pole does not flex while the boat is running.
If attaching pad eyes, they must be riveted on (using screws by themselves may weaken the integrity of the pole and may not be strong enough for a permanent solution).
To clean, simply rinse thoroughly with water and dry.
1.5” Carbiepoles are recommended for projects sized <50 square feet. For larger projects or heavier fabrics, consider 2” Carbiepoles.

Poles should be taken down during inclement weather to avoid damage.
