Polytex is made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), consisting of a monofilament and tape structure. The shade sail fabric is knitted together with a "Raschel Knit" lock stitch to assure that the fabric does not rip or fray if pierced or cut. Polytex is designed for outdoor shade structures and architectural shade sails, granting over 95% UV defense. Its high strength-to-weight ratio, mildew resistance, and fire rating make it an ideal choice for small-scale projects where sun protection is needed, like canopies and patio shade sails. The lightweight shade cloth is lead and phthalate free. Use Polytex in Lime for a fresh, practical element.
