Phifer SunTex 90 is a popular outdoor mesh fabric that absorbs up to 90% of the sun's heat and light. With a 10% open weave, it functions as a breathable privacy screen with decent outward visibility while still blocking insects and UV light. When used as an outdoor window shade, it keeps rooms cooler and reduces fading in furniture. As a result, it's a great energy saver. Made from durable vinyl-coated polyester, the sun screen fabric combats pet damage and tearing.
SunTex is perfect as a mesh sun shade fabric on porches, patios, doors, and windows. Infused with Microban® antimicrobial protection, the material keeps clean for longer. The exterior solar screen hinders the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew. It needs only an occasional cleaning with mild soap and water.
