Built on Tradition, Backed by Trivantage®: Boatman Marine Canvas

As a second generation marine fabricator, craftsmanship is in Mike Boatman’s blood. Since 1974, his family business, Boatman Marine Canvas, has been a trusted name in custom boat covers, bimini tops, boat flooring, and interiors in the Oklahoma City area. With decades of experience, Boatman and his family have been long-time partners of Trivantage.

“We’ve always sourced Aqualon® Edge and Sunbrella® through [Trivantage],” Boatman said. “For boat cover projects, I like Aqualon Edge because it’s a waterproof material that reduces heat gain, and it comes with a seven-year warranty.”

Similar to Aqualon Edge, Boatman said he chooses Sunbrella marine fabric because of its robust, 10-year warranty, and because “there is no top or bottom side, which is great for projects like bimini tops where you see both sides.”

When asked why he continues to partner with Trivantage after all of these years, Boatman spoke to the website’s ease of use and why that matters. “The new website is fantastic — hands down the best of any supplier we have ordered from. I can handle 98% of orders without having to get in touch with my rep,” he said.

In addition to being a customer, Boatman is a member of the Trivantage Plus™ Program and recently won our Instagram giveaway for a one-year platinum membership.

“Joining Trivantage Plus was a no-brainer,” he said. “The flat-rate shipping has been very helpful, and I’ve also taken advantage of service offerings like the CAD training with Adam Penner at AP Consulting.”
