Canvex I is a translucent, reinforced plastic sheeting used in a range of applications, most often for patterning boat covers, snap-on covers, biminis, and other marine uses. Other common applications for the clear polyethylene sheet include temporary walls, enclosures, equipment covers, silage and cargo covers, carpet and product wrappings, curtains, and insulation membranes. It is manufactured by weaving high-density polyethylene ribbons and coating them with a low-density polyethylene. This special weaving process produces a highly tear-resistant film. This allows the ribbons to shift and “bunch up” in response to a tearing force.
Canvex I is commonly used for projects requiring exceptional tear resistance and minimal weight, like for use on construction sites to enclose buildings and cover materials.
Width: 81 inches. Weight: 2.31 ounces per square yard. Sold in full rolls only.
Product Note: Canvex I has the polyethylene coating on one side. Canvex II has the polyethylene coating on both sides.
