Dual Duty is core-type thread made by spinning a high-grade cotton warp around a continuous multi-filament polyester core. When compared to standard cotton thread of equivalent size, it offers lower shrinkage, higher single-end strength, and stronger seams. The durable sewing thread features excellent resistance to abrasion and can withstand repeated cleaning. When wet, the cotton swells to fill the needle holes in the fabric, which reduces seam leakage. Dual Duty protects from
needle heat for high-speed sewing operation. The high-tenacity core enables you to use a finer thread size for improved seam appearance without affecting strength.
The core-spun thread works well in outdoor apparel, denimwear, cotton fabric products, and home furnishings.
