These convenient bobbins are pre-wound with Coats Polymatic thread. Formulated for superior UV protection, Polymatic is less receptive to sun damages. Made with bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread features added lubrication to protect the thread during sewing.
Monofilament threads are typically stronger than twisted threads, so a thinner thread size can be used if required. The single ply is less prone to ravel and knot during the sewing process. Polymatic can be used on either side of a double-needle machine and works well for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile minimizes the thread's direct exposure to surface abrasion. Since the thread is bleach cleanable, maintenance is easy.
Suggested uses for the pre-wound bobbins include sports equipment, filtration, outdoor and marine fabric products, light sails, light boat tops, quilting, and embroidery. Offered here in Black.
