These handy bobbins are pre-wound with Coats Polymatic thread. Coated for advanced UV protection, Polymatic is much less susceptible to sun damage. Made with bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread features increased lubrication to protect the thread during sewing.
Monofilament threads are typically stronger than twisted threads, so a finer thread size may be used if needed. The single ply is less prone to ravel and knot during the sewing process. Polymatic may be used on either side of a double-needle machine and works well for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile reduces the thread's direct exposure to surface abrasion. The thread is bleach cleanable.
Suggested uses for the pre-wound bobbins include marine and outdoor products, light sails, light boat tops, filtration, sports equipment, quilting, and embroidery. Shown here in Black.
