These convenient bobbins are pre-wound with Coats Polymatic thread. Formulated for superior UV protection, Polymatic is much less receptive to sun damages. Made with bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread has increased lubrication to protect the thread while sewing.
Monofilament threads are stronger than twisted ones, so a smaller thread size may be used if needed. The single ply is less prone to knot and ravel during sewing. Polymatic can be used on both sides of a double-needle machine and works well for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile reduces the thread's direct exposure to surface abrasion. The thread is bleach cleanable.
Suggested uses for the pre-wound bobbins include marine and outdoor products, light sails, light boat tops, filtration, sports equipment, quilting, and embroidery. Offered here in Black.
