Formulated for maximum UV resistance, Coats Polymatic thread is much less susceptible to damage from the sun. Made from bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread has enhanced lubrication to protect it during the sewing process. Polymatic Drip-Stop inhibits the capillary action that causes seam leakage.
Monofilament threads are stronger than twisted threads, therefore a smaller thread size can be used. The single ply is less vulnerable to raveling and knotting while sewing. Polymatic can be used on either side of a double-needle machine and works well for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile reduces the thread's direct exposure to surface abrasion. For easy cleaning, it is unaffected by bleach.
Suggested applications include filtration, marine and outdoor products, light boat tops, light sails, embroidery, sports equipment, and quilting.
