GORE TENARA ePTFE sewing thread for marine applications offers an easy switch from polyester or competitive PTFE threads, requiring little or no machine adjustments. Designed for durability, TENARA creates seams that outlast the fabric they’re sewn into. Seen here in Charcoal Grey, the thread is great for sails, covers, upholstery, heavy clear vinyl, and zippers, it doesn’t deteriorate in sun, salt water, wind, or weather and doesn’t lose strength when wet.
This midweight, 1850 denier, 3-ply thread offers high-elongation with excellent stretch characteristics. While some threads are sold by the pound, TENARA is sold by the spool for a great value option. It can take 1.2-1.3 pounds of other threads to achieve the same yield as a 1-pound spool of TENARA.
