Description

This roller tube coupler or roller tube splicer can be used to splice or connect two cut pieces of Solair 78mm roller tube: (231500 or 231526). The coupler is 39 3/8" long and can be cut in half to splice smaller pieces.

Typical installation involves cutting both roller tube sections square so the ends meet cleanly. Then insert the coupler halfway into the first 78 mm tube. Secure the coupler to the tube using self-drilling screws or rivets, then slide the second tube onto the exposed half of the coupler until the tube ends butt together. Align the fabric groove/spline slot on both tubes so they remain perfectly straight. Fasten the second tube to the coupler using the same attachment method. Lastly, verify the assembly is straight and rotates without wobble before installing fabric.
