Made of aluminum alloy 6063-T5 with a mill finish, this awning frame tube is used in conjunction with the Steel Stitch System. Generally used in spans up to 101" that are laterally supported against fabric tension at a maximum of 84".
Steel Stitch provides versatile design in the fabrication of awnings, back-lit signs, and canopies. The frame system incorporates the "staple-in" technique of affixing fabric by stapling it into the tube channel. A PVC trim, in a choice of more than 30 colors, is then driven into the tube channel to conceal the staples. With the use of divider strips to join sections and the patented FlashStrip® (forming a leak-proof seal against building surfaces), the result is a desirable, seamless, and wrinkle-free awning.
Steel Stitch Staple-In Tube #SMP-22B is 2" x 2" x 1/8" and is 25' long.
