Description

Made of aluminum alloy 6063-T5 and a mill finish, this awning frame tube is used with the Steel Stitch System. Generally used in spans up to 44" that are laterally supported against fabric tension at a maximum of 42", while providing support for drop-in ceiling panels (e.g., for back-lit or under-lit awnings).

Steel Stitch provides versatile design in the installation of awnings, canopies, and back-lit signs. The frame system uses the "staple-in" method of attaching fabric by stapling it into the tube channel. A PVC trim, in a choice of more than 30 colors, is then driven into the tube channel to cover the staples. Making use of divider strips to join sections and the patented FlashStrip® (forming a watertight seal against building surfaces), the end result is an attractive, seamless, and wrinkle-free awning.

Steel Stitch Staple-In Tube #SMP-2B is 1" x 1-3/4" x 1/8" and is 25' long.
