Made of aluminum alloy 6063-T5 and a mill finish, this awning frame tube is used in conjunction with the Steel Stitch System. It is typically used as a middle rafter to support drop-in ceiling panels for back-lit or under-lit awnings.
Steel Stitch offers versatile design in the creation of awnings, back-lit signs, and canopies. The frame system uses the "staple-in" technique of attaching fabric by stapling it into the tube channel. A PVC extrusion, in a choice of over 30 colors, is then driven into the channel to conceal the staples. Making use of divider strips to join sections and the exclusive FlashStrip® (which forms a watertight seal against building surfaces), the result is an attractive, smooth, and wrinkle-free awning.
