A part of the VELCRO® Brand hook and loop fasteners, the #81 "hook" (male) section is covered in small, stiff hooks. The woven tape fastener connects with the #9000 "loop" (female) section that features small, soft loops. When pressed together, the pair of mating strips generate a secure, adjustable closure.
The VELCRO® Brand tape's lightweight, polyester structure affords high strength, stability, and simple care. While commonly not as strong as nylon, polyester grants better resistance to water and UV rays. The acrylic adhesive backing holds firmly on various surfaces. The distinctive self-gripping technology removes the need for buckles, rings, or snaps. Uses for these adhesive strips include marine fastening, indoor/outdoor functions, cushion placement, clothing, mounting and adhering to walls and other surfaces, and more. VELCRO® Brand polyester loop tape ##191254/155474 has a 2-inch width and comes in black.
