The Makers Meet: Behind the Scenes with Sunbrella

Trivantage is committed to helping makers thrive. More than just tools and support, we’re paving the way for creativity with educational opportunities that empower you to do your best work.

Last year, we successfully introduced an all-new event geared toward workrooms, upholsterers, and designers: The Makers Meet. We’re thrilled to bring this event back as a behind-the-scenes experience presented by the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA) and Trivantage at Sunbrella’s Flagship Manufacturing Plant.

Join us in Anderson, South Carolina on May 8, 2026 for a day of inspiration and a unique glimpse into the innovation behind Sunbrella products. Attendees will step behind the scenes on a guided tour of the one-million-square-foot campus and see the full Sunbrella process in action—from fiber production and weaving to finishing, R&D, and performance testing.

Workshops and Product Demos

The day will also be filled with product demos and expert-led workshops, including:

The Makers Meet is designed to spark imagination, foster connections, and help creators elevate their craft with knowledge and resources.

“Trivantage strives to be a resource that supports and strengthens our industry,” says Katelyn Bell, Furnishings Marketing Manager at Trivantage. “Hosting similar events in other markets has shown us how valuable it is for makers to collaborate, learn, and network, so we wanted to provide a platform for workrooms and upholstery shops to do just that.”

Advanced reservations are required, so don’t wait to secure your spot. Tickets are $85, including lunch. WCAA members are eligible for a special discount and should reach out to their Trivantage representative for more information.

The WCAA has reserved a room block for $279 per night at the Hilton Garden Inn Anderson, conveniently located just minutes from the Sunbrella plant. Reserve your room here before April 6.

Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and grow with fellow makers. Reserve your ticket today!
