Formulated for superior UV resistance, Coats Polymatic thread is much less prone to harm from the sun's rays. Made of bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread features enhanced lubrication to protect it while sewing.
Monofilament threads are stronger than twisted threads, therefore a smaller thread size can be used. The single ply is less vulnerable to knot and ravel during sewing. Polymatic can be used on either side of a double-needle machine and works well for zigzag sewing. The oval profile decreases the thread's exposure to surface abrasion. For easy cleaning, it is unaffected by bleach.
Recommended applications include sports equipment, filtration, marine and outdoor products, quilting, embroidery, light boat tops, and light sails.
