These bobbins are conveniently pre-wound with Coats Ultra Dee thread. Ultra Dee is a corded (twisted) thread made with a strong, resilient, continuous filament polyester. It supplies 20-33% higher strength than standard lubricated sewing threads. Heat set to reduce stretching and shrinkage, Ultra Dee seams have a more uniform appearance. Its bonded finish prevents ply untwisting and reduces fraying at the needle eye. This means improved seam quality and less worry over mending and rethreading. The high-tenacity thread is designed for extreme assembly and challenging conditions.
Common uses for the pre-wound bobbins include leather goods, outdoor goods, seat trims, footwear, luggage, furniture upholstery, and marine applications. Ultra Dee polyester bobbins are offered in a range of color options, including Black. All are left twist (Z twist) threads.
