Coats Ultra Dee is a corded (twisted), durable, continuous filament polyester thread. It provides 20-33% higher continued strength than standard lubricated threads. Ultra Dee is heat set to prevent shrinkage or stretch. The bonded finish adds extra strength, keeps the ply from unwinding, and reduces fraying at the needle eye. This means better seam quality and less struggle with mending broken thread or rethreading. The high-tenacity sewing thread is designed for heavy-duty fabrication and demanding applications.
Common uses include seat trims, upholstery, footwear, luggage, leather products, outdoor products, and marine applications. Ultra Dee polyester thread is offered in many attractive color options, including Rhonda Blue. All are left twist (Z twist) threads.
