Description

The SunPatch fabric patch, made with non-PFAS solution dyed acrylic, is an ideal solution for repairing or reinforcing marine fabric, awning installations, umbrellas, and other outdoor fabric applications. These pressure-sensitive, heat-activated adhesive patches are designed to match some of the most popular Sunbrella fabrics, like Pacific Blue displayed here.

From repairing holes or tears in fabric, to adding an additional moisture barrier or reinforcement, SunPatch adhesive patches can be applied using a heat press, hand iron, or hot air gun and roller. The 2-part adhesion system allows for repositioning in the early stages of repair, before heat is applied. Check out all available SunPatch colors engineered for long-lasting reinforcement and reliable repairs. Don’t replace it - SunPatch it!

Best Practices & Recommendations:
  • Trim to size with rounded corners which prevents catching and lifting over time.
  • Be sure your application surface is clean and dry before applying SunPatch.
  • Avoid heat setting temperatures above 220 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent shrinkage and adhesive seepage.
  • For best results, apply heat for 1 minute and let cool for several hours before use in the field. For two-sided patching projects, apply heat for 30 seconds per side.
  • All patches are run in the warp direction (length of the roll). Be sure to match the direction of the SunPatch and original fabric for a less-noticeable application.

Product Note: SunPatch™ by Fabric Ingenuity is designed to maintain its original physical properties when stored properly for up to 24 months. It is important to keep SunPatch™ stored in ambient temperatures not to exceed 80° F in its original packaging.
