These bobbins are conveniently pre-wound with Coats Polymatic thread. Treated for superior UV resistance, Polymatic is much less receptive to sun damage. Made with bonded monocord Dacron, the sewing thread has increased lubrication to protect the thread while sewing.
Monofilament threads are typically stronger than twisted ones, so a smaller thread size may be used if needed. The single ply is less likely to ravel and knot during sewing. Polymatic may be used on either side of a double-needle machine and is great for zigzag sewing. Its oval profile limits the thread's direct exposure to surface abrasion. The thread is bleach cleanable.
Suggested uses for the pre-wound bobbins include marine and outdoor products, light sails, light boat tops, filtration, sports equipment, quilting, and embroidery. Shown here in White.
