These convenient bobbins are pre-wound with Coats Ultra Dee thread. Ultra Dee is a corded (twisted) thread made from a strong, resilient, and continuous filament polyester. It delivers 20-33% higher strength than typical lubricated sewing threads. Ultra Dee is heat set to minimize stretch and shrinkage. The bonded finish prevents ply untwisting and lessens fraying at the needle eye. This means improved seam quality and less worry over mending and rethreading. The high-tenacity thread is designed for tough assembly and demanding environments.
Common uses for the pre-wound bobbins include outdoor fabric products, seat trims, furniture, leather goods, luggage, footwear, and marine applications. Ultra Dee polyester bobbins are offered in multiple color options, like Black. All are left twist (Z twist) threads.
