These bobbins are conveniently pre-wound with Coats Ultra Dee sewing thread. Ultra Dee is a corded (twisted) thread made of a strong, resilient, continuous filament polyester. It grants 20-33% higher strength than typical lubricated sewing threads. Ultra Dee is heat set to minimize stretch and shrinkage. The bonded finish helps prevent ply untwisting and lessens fraying at the needle eye. This means better seam quality and less stress over mending and rethreading. The high-tenacity thread is designed for extreme assembly and demanding conditions.
Common applications for the pre-wound bobbins include leather goods, outdoor goods, seat trims, footwear, luggage, furniture upholstery, and marine applications. Ultra Dee polyester bobbins are offered in a range of color options, including Black. All are left twist (Z twist) threads.
